Inserting Steps (Manual)

Manually add context-rich steps to any document while editing.

To record new steps rather than manually insert, see 📄 Recording from an existing process (Windows)

How to insert a new step:

  1. Enter edit mode on your document

  2. Hover between existing steps and click the “+” icon

  3. Choose the type of step you want to insert

Available step types:

  • Step – Default instruction step

  • Info – Adds helpful context

  • Note – Supplementary guidance or details

  • Success – Indicates successful outcome

  • Warning – Flags risks or caution points

  • Error – Highlights failure points

  • Conditional – For steps that depend on a specific condition
